SUNY TO HOST FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS
Once again, SUNY is offering two Financial Aid Days to assist students and their families in applying for financial aid and completing the FAFSA. This year, the dates are October 14th and November 18th.
These workshops are free of charge and open to all prospective college students and their families.
Students can register at one of the 47 locations throughout New York State by going online at www.suny.edu/studentevents or by calling (800) 342-3811.
FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
Financial Aid Night will be held on Thursday, November 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library. For those that cannot attend, Chittenango High School will be holding their Financial Aid Night on Monday, December 11th at
6:00 p.m. Mark Hill, the Financial Aid Director at SUNY ESF, will be the presenter at both events. This event is open to senior and junior families. Click here for a copy of the letter mailed home.
TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS FOR TC3, RIT, MVCC & CAZENOVIA COLLEGE CREDITS
Just a reminder, seniors who received college credits from TC3, RIT, MVCC or Cazenovia College must request transcripts from each of these schools individually. These schools will forward an official transcript to your college/university.
CONVERTING YOUR GPA TO A 4.0 SCALE
During the college application process, many students and parents ask how to convert their cumulative numeric average (GPA) to a 4.0 scale, as this is the standard scale used by many colleges/universities. Click here for the link to College Board’s simple conversion chart.
