The Cazenovia Central School District was saddened to learn that Robert S. Dubik, retired Superintendent of Schools at C.C.S.D. from 2004 to 2014 and former High School Assistant Principal and Burton Street Elementary School Principal from 1991 to 1996, passed away on November 13, 2014 in the evening at home with his family by his side. Bob is survived by his loving wife Terri of 36 years, and their two great sons Coy (Stephanie) Dubik and Cole Dubik. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church in Cazenovia. The ceremony was largely attended and was standing room only. A reception was held immediately after the funeral services at the Cazenovia High School’s Buckley Gymnasium. The funeral was a beautiful ceremony and a tribute to Bob’s life. Former High School Principal, colleague, and friend, Mr. Tom Long delivered the eulogy in Bob’s honor remembering Bob in a very nice way. As the funeral procession started, the organ fittingly played “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and the Cazenovia Chamber Choir sung the lyrics. Donations may still be made to the Robert S. Dubik Memorial Scholarship Fund, 5767 East Lake Road, Cazenovia, NY 13035.
