Communications Club

Club Name: International Club / Foreign Language Club |

Description: The Purpose of the club is to allow students the opportunity to learn about different locations (history and culture) and then to be able to travel to those locations and have that experience first hand. In addition to the educational component, another goal is to provide an avenue for students to fundraise to help offset the cost of the trip. |

Description: SADD envisions a world in which young people make positive decisions that advance their health and safety. SADD’s mission is to empower young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them in their daily lives. we accomplish this by creating, equipping, and sustaining a network of student-led chapters in school communities focused on peer-to-peer education. Description: The science club promotes the application of scientific principles and methods as well as research skills in the pursuit of 1st place at the Science Olympiad competition in March. |

Description: 7th grade participants learn to write code and create phone apps. this year we have been developing a soccer app that is a cross between a trading card game and a soccer draft, called “Player Up”. We will be submitting it through the school’s Apple developers account for downloading. We have a senior, Tom McNerney helping the younger students learn how to code using Unity 3D. |

Description: Our goal is to prepare and make sets for the Junior High show. We meet at the times listed below and create sets. We attend all rehearsals and shows. We move jazz band equipment everyday after school to prepare the stage. |

Description: The purpose of the club is to produce the annual spring musical, select the show, cast the show, design and build sets, prepare staging, choreography and music. |

Description: The Pep Band purpose of the club is the generate school spirit and excitement for the student body during the fall months. The Pep Band performs at the home football games, the Fall Pep Rally and last year’s open house. Marching band will perform in 2 Memorial Day parades next year. |

Description: The club meets to write creative pieces, edit and choose submission, choose which pieces get together to make the pages of the book, create the book, and final product. Then fundraise money to print the books. Also do a community service project every year |

Description: To give students a place to work on various types of communications projects to extend their learning and understanding of using cameras, editing videos, and using broadcasting equipment. The morning announcements, videos promoting school events, functions, and public service announcements. we also aim to partner with other clubs and activities, to promote and communicate whatever they might want. There are many students who, given the opportunity, would do more than what they could do in a classroom setting when it comes to communications-communications is the club for them |
