Fine Arts Night to showcase middle school talents
Submitted by Johanna Neugebauer and Ellen Dougherty
Get ready for an evening of wonderful vocal, instrumental and visual entertainment at this year’s Middle School Fine Arts Night, starting at 7 p.m. Thursday (June 6), in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature the entire fifth-grade class and all of Cazenovia Middle School’s performing groups: fifth-grade band, fifth- and sixth-grade orchestra, sixth-grade chorus and sixth-grade band. Our young musicians have been introduced this year to standard and classic ensemble pieces, and they’re now eager to display their performance skills for an audience. In addition to music, visitors can enjoy wonderful student artwork on display throughout Cazenovia Middle School’s hallways and art room. Created by all the art students in grades five through seven, the pieces include two- and three-dimensional work, textiles, computer graphics, watercolors, clay pieces and so much more.
