Submitted by Johanna Neugebauer and Ellen DoughertyGet ready for an evening of wonderful vocal, instrumental and visual entertainment at this year’s Middle School Fine Arts Night, starting at 7 p.m. Thursday (June 6), in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature the entire fifth-grade class and all of Cazenovia Middle School’s performing groups: fifth-grade band, fifth- and sixth-grade orchestra, sixth-grade chorus and sixth-grade band. Our young musicians have been introduced this year to standard and classic ensemble pieces, and they’re now eager to display their performance skills for an audience. In addition to music, visitors can enjoy wonderful student artwork on display throughout Cazenovia Middle School’s hallways and art room. Created by all the art students in grades five through seven, the pieces include two- and three-dimensional work, textiles, computer graphics, watercolors, clay pieces and so much more. Most of the artwork will be exhibited by grade level and located in the appropriate wing of the middle school. Three-dimensional work, however, will be on display in and near the art room, so please be sure to stop by. “Your children are very talented, both musically and artistically. They have created some truly remarkable music and art!” Mrs. Neugebauer and Mrs. Dougherty said. “So please join us in the auditorium for some wonderful entertainment, and then stroll through the middle school halls to witness the talents and efforts of our fine young artists.” Thank you for coming and celebrating the fine arts here at Cazenovia Middle School!
