Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Jennifer Facteau to the middle school as a teacher in Art. Mrs. Facteau earned her B.S. in Art with an Art History minor from SUNY Brockport, and a M.S. in Art Education from Nazareth College. She is currently certified in Art K-12. While in college she participated in the set production aspect of the Theater Arts department.

Mrs. Facteau graduated from Penfield High School where she was extensively involved in darkroom photography and held the position of yearbook photographer. Before coming to Cazenovia Middle School, Mrs. Facteau taught Art at Pulaski Middle School, the Women’s Academy of Excellence in the Bronx, Hunt’s Point Middle School in the Bronx, and at James A. Beneway High School in Wayne county.

When asked who influenced her decision to pursue a career in education, she responded, “When I was in high school, I decided I never wanted to leave the art room. I loved working with my peers, critiquing our artwork. My father is a retired elementary school teacher, and I have also found inspiration from my high school art teachers Ms. Welch and Mrs. Gallagher.”

While not teaching at our middle school, Mrs. Facteau can be found working in her garden, painting in her home studio, or at the park with her dog Bandit.
