Please welcome Mrs. Stefanie Lints to the Burton Street Elementary School as a 4th Grade Teacher. Mrs. Lints earned her B.A. in Sociology and Elementary Education from LeMoyne College in 2000. Upon graduation, she began her teaching career, spending the majority of years teaching in Solvay in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. She received her Masters from the University of Phoenix in Curriculum and instruction. In 2010, Mrs. Lints resigned from Solvay to raise her daughters.
However, she missed the education field and quickly jumped right back into the swing of things as the Director of Cazenovia Community Preschool and the Coordinator of the MAT Program at Colgate University. Both of these incredible experiences demonstrated the importance of being in a classroom, interacting with students and families, which led Mrs. Lints to seek employment as a full time elementary teacher, once again. Mrs. Lints became a 5th grade teacher in the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District for several years, until joining the incredible staff here in Cazenovia.
When Mrs. Lints is not teaching, she can be found at sporting events for her daughters who are involved in various activities in and outside of school. In addition, she loves to go camping with her family, run throughout Cazenovia, and read as many books as possible! She is thrilled to join the staff at Burton Street, and return to 4th grade.
