Message from Mr. Reilly; Important Information for Dec-11 Half Day
December 2, 2020
Good afternoon,
We are now more than one quarter of the way through the school year! And while we have experienced some disruptions due to COVID, students have enjoyed an extraordinary amount of high-quality instruction. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for being great partners in education! Students, teachers, and parents are engaged in a remarkable challenge. Each day is a new milestone and a testament to hard work and cooperation. Thank you!
I write today to alert families to an update on our scheduled December 11th half-day. Similar to our two previous half-days, we plan to make the scheduled half-day on Friday, December 11th a remote learning morning for students in grades 5-12. The insights we gleaned from our previous experience were essential in helping us to better prepare for when we have had to transition students and teachers to the remote learning environment. Our K-4 students will report to Burton St. where they will experience a remote learning environment in the classrooms with the support and guidance of their teachers. More information about schedules for that morning will be forthcoming early next week from your child’s principal.
Thank you again for your cooperation and please continue to emphasize with your children the health and safety measures that we know to be effective: good hand-hygiene, social distancing, and mask wearing.
Sincerely,
Matt Reilly
Cazenovia, Superintendent of Schools
