In her free time, Kate enjoys downhill skiing, boating and fishing, playing video games, and writing with the YMCA’s Young Authors Academy. Her favorite moments in high school were time spent in Academic Decathlon, interesting class discussions, and spending time with family and friends.
Cazenovia High School Salutatorian, Alexandra Galle
Alexandra Galle, daughter of Brian and Lesley Galle, has been named Cazenovia High School’s Salutatorian for the Class of 2020.
Alex is very grateful for all of her time at Cazenovia High School where she developed many close relationships with the amazing teaching staff and her peers. Alex will finish high school completing eight AP classes and taking all other honors classes offered at Cazenovia High School. She has also played varsity tennis for six years and has been a captain for the past two years. Alex was a part of three team sectional championships and has been first team-all league for four years as well as being a scholar athlete for all six years. One of Alex’s favorite memories of her senior year was winning her fourth sectional title in doubles.
Alex’s passion is working with children, which she has done through working at the YMCA Camp Iroquois and helping to teach tennis at her family business, ALOLO Tennis. Alex is very interested in social justice issues, as well as politics, and had the pleasure of attending the Students Inside Albany Conference her junior year.
Alex will be attending SUNY Geneseo this fall to study chemistry and minor in sociomedical sciences on a pre-medicine track. After studying at Geneseo, she plans to attend medical school to become a pediatrician.
