We salute Coach Thomas Neidl on a tremendous career
Congratulations to Coach Thomas Neidl, retired CCS physical education teacher and longtime Head Coach of the Cazenovia Lakers varsity football team. Mr. Neidl steps down from the head position with a win-loss-tie record of 178-55-1 dating back 25-years from 1990 through 2014. His varsity teams were the winners of 7 Section III Championships, 13 Divisional Championships, and were the 1996 NYS Regional Champions and Class C State Semifinalists. Mr. Neidl steps down as the all-time winningest football coach in Cazenovia’s school history. His 36-year football coaching career at Cazenovia spans from 1979 through 2014, he served as an assistant coach at various levels before being named head coach in 1990. Mr. Neidl worked aside Cazenovia coaching legends Sam Volo and Paul Stoecker.
The District not only recognizes Tom for all of his hard work and achievement, but thanks Tom’s family for making the sacrifices all these years that only a coaching family knows about. Years from now, we expect to still be talking about the imprint that Tom Neidl made on Cazenovia Football.
