Greetings from Burton Street!
I sincerely hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable summer.
Our custodial staff is completing the final preparation of getting the building ready for students and staff, and as always they do a phenomenal job!
We are looking forward to seeing our students Thursday, September 5th on their first day.
Our staff starts on September 3rd and the school will not be open to any visitors both September 3rd and 4th. We will be in meetings and preparing for students!
Below are some friendly reminders:
The doors to Burton Street open at 7:40 a.m. and students will not be able to enter prior to that.
If you bring your child to school after 8 a.m., you will need to bring them into the building as the doors are locked.
If you are picking your child up at the end of the day, the back doors open at 2:30 p.m. There will be a sign out sheet outside the art room, and then your child/children will be called from the Art Room to meet you in the hall.
The first event to attend will be our curriculum night Thursday, September 12th. A schedule will be sent home at a later date.
If your child is sick, please send in a note the following day.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher. Every teacher has a school email which is found on our school website and of course you may contact me as well. Your child and our students’ success is increased through communication and our working together. Our Burton Street PTA is very active and supportive. I encourage you to become part of that team. Meetings are on the school calendar.
I know I speak for the entire staff when I say we are looking forward to an awesome year working with both you and your child.
Enjoy the remainder of the summer!
