Burton Street… home of the Blue Waves and pride of the Lakers! Burton Street’s official mascot is the Blue Wave which provides a symbol that unites our school community. Our young students are catching the wave by showing Pride in all they do, Respect for the students and staff, being Honest, and showing Caring and Responsibility with their peers, school, community and family. Burton Street students are proud to demonstrate these traits and 'Catch the Wave.' Each and every day, Burton Street learners strive to be the best that they can be.
Burton Street is a child-centered school where students, staff and parents/guardians create a loving school community. Collaborative school/family relationships and partnerships are created in order to foster a learning environment that supports student social, emotional, and academic development. The Burton Street community values the love of learning and excellence in an inclusive environment, with an emphasis on the development of critical social emotional competencies such as empathy, self-awareness, resilience, problem solving and managing emotions.
