The Cazenovia Central School District is excited to reaffirm the new mission and vision statement in 2025! They were developed by a committee of students, parents, teachers, and administrators during the 2023 strategic planning process.

Behind the MISSION:

The mission outlines the district’s identity and purpose. Each building has been tasked with one of three focus areas outlined in the statement.
The elementary school’s focus is on nurturing each student as they develop foundational skills. The middle school aims to inspire students as they continue to grow and unearth their interests and abilities. The high school then empowers students to prepare for the future with a strong sense of who they are and how to get there.

The vision statement is intended to be a short, catchy summary of the mission statement that summarizes 3 central ideas.
“Discovering” mirrors the district’s purpose of helping individual students identify and develop their unique strengths in an ever changing and evolving global world.
“Tomorrow” reflects the district’s focus as an educational institution to anticipate what students need as they grow, learn, and prepare for the future.
“Together” celebrates the unique and diverse members of the school community. Everyone should feel a sense of belonging.
